To use your pressure cooker, place the lid on the body with the arrow on the lid aligned with the arrow on the body handle. Press down the lid slightly with one hand, then turn the lid handle clockwise until it aligns exactly with the body handle.
Note: If the normal steam escape is blocked, the safety valve will activate. Similarly, if there is not enough water and the cooker boils dry, causing the temperature to exceed the normal range, the safety valve will also operate. The alloy in the safety valve melts at the required temperature, releasing pressure. Replacing the safety valve is easy as demonstrated here.
